Ernest Allen, Jr.

Ernest Allen, Jr. is Professor of Afro-American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Most recently he directed and produced a two-hour video documentary entitled “Look Back and Wonder: The Rise of Black Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst” (2008). Prof. Allen has long been a major contributor to The Black Scholar. He is currently engaged in a study of African American worldviews of the 1960s.
